iPage Go Live Process

iPage Go Live Process

iPage Website Go Live

First we need to identify what domain we are connecting the website to. The most common scenario is that we’ve purchased a domain for the client, which exists in our agency Registrar account with Moniker Online Services (https://www.moniker.com/). Purchasing a domain may be necessary but is usually done before the Go-Live Process.

Once we have access to the domain in the Registrar account, navigate to the domain’s page in Moniker. On the side bar, go to “My Domains” and search for the one we wish to use. Click on the domain.

This will take you to an overview of the domain. From here, click on the tab for “Whois / Nameserver”, so we can make sure our Nameservers are set to YPC Media’s internal servers. Scroll down to the “Nameserver” section, open the dropdown for “Type” and select “Yellow Page City”:

Yellow Page City Nameservers are as follows, in case you are using a different Registrar and need to manually enter them:

NS1.RCITYWEB.COM

NS2.RCITYWEB.COM

Once our Nameservers are set, we then need to go into the YPC Media ISS tool to make sure the server is directing queries to the correct page. To do this go to http://int/ and then “Management (Domain Name IIS)” (http://int/HostManager/)

At the top of the page, we will create a new host by clicking the paper icon

The 3 steps to complete here are:

  1. The Host name will be the domain name (wetnwildspas.com). Make sure not to use HTTP or WWW here.

  1. The path is the designated iPage site path determined by the site name in iPages. The iPage path is usually listed in the CRM, or can be found by searching for the site in iPages. For this example, we would use “/ipage/wetnwildspas2

  1. Select “ReWrite

When done correctly, the Host Name and Path should look like this:

As long as Nameservers are updated, and the IIS Host Management tool is updated with the correct Host and Path, the site should be connected within 10 minutes. One last step will be to add the domain name to the iPage Site Configuration settings. To do this, first log into the iPage site using Login Credentials found in the CRM, or iPages.

Go to Site Settings, and “Configure Account Info”:

Add the domain name (wetnwildspas.com) to the “Domain URL” field. Make sure not to use HTTP or WWW here. Click “Save”. Congratulations, your iPage site is now live!
